Summer

My girlfriend, Kelli, just got back from a month-long college program and we are spending as much time as we can together. She leaves for Ohio soon. I get to hang out with my old friends from highschool though. We are pretty much just screwing around. Playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons. Luke left the Wii out for a while and his dad got angry and put it away. So, no more Brawl for a while. Matt still has his Wii, but we rarely go to his house. Well, summer is pretty easy when you don't have anything to do.

I have been living most of the summer at Luke's place with him, his sister, and his parents. His sister, Michelle, does not usually stay here, but she is living here while she is pregnant. When the baby comes she is going to live with her boyfriend. She is a very animated person. She tells the same story thiry times and demonstrates the actions of everyone every time. At first it was annoying, but I got used to it. Her boyfriend is a cool guy, he is a great cook too. He makes us breakfast ocasionally.

Luke's parents do not do too much that I follow. I talk with them some, but I do not really know what they are doing half the time. His mother goes to church every sunday and goes to all of the baby classes with Michelle. She does Yoga in the mornings. His dad works in the office alot and is on business trips every third week. The watch Bill O'Reily, Burn Notice, and some other shows I do not remember at night and that's about it.

Luke is trying his best to get a girlfriend this summer. He works at the Mall in EBX and he meets girls with common interests there. He has had about six or seven different girls this summer and none of them stuck. This past year he broke up with his previous girlfriend of four years. He misses the companionship. He tells me about all of these girls and how each one is different. Then he tells me how they break up with him. It is kind of sad, but I have faith in his ability to find partnership. On a happier note he has gotten me addicted to this webcomic (I will post a link eventually) called Erfworld. It is a silly world where everything is turn based and has a "cute" name: dragons are dwagons, goblins are gobwins, and every time he swears he says boop.

I sit back and watch alot. I have not done much this summer, and I plan on keeping this trend. Nothing to worry about until the fall semester where I go back to classes.

See ya'll.

Februray in Florida sucks.

Today again like the past 6 days has been hot. I am sick of hot. That is all Florida is. Hot. That is the only word you can use to explain its weather patterns. Ok you can also say rain and hurricane. Those happen two to three months out of the year. Hot is used eleven.

I want snow.

February is also the hardest month for my father because his bonus is all dried up and he is under alot of stress. His stress slowly becomes my stress. He is irritable and very grumpy. Now I am irritable. I don't really hate Florida. It isn't that bad, just hot. February is also my wonderful girlfriend's birthday, the fourth, along witht he ever popular Valentines Day. All the stress it doesn't end. Stress is partially what I wrote about in my last post. As always I will get over it, just may take me a while.

Love ya'll,
Travis

Christmas is Upon Us!!!

It's Christmas time and you all know what that means!!!! Presents, yes presents. Alot of gifts to buy for alot of people. You also know what that entitles. Crowds, alot of people all trying to buy the same exact thing you are trying to get. alot of money leaveing your pocket for pretty much one silly reason. Freakin Wise Men. Why did they bring stuff to Jesus? If they weren't wise enough to save us from the stress of christmas shopping, what were they wise enough to do? They were wise enough to emphasize FAMILY at Christmas people. You are supposed to spend Christmas with your family. If your family happens to be your parents an siblings good for you, you still have all of them. If not spend time with those that are still around, or those you still tolerate lol.

What you should do is go to the ones you can't stand and show them kindness. They may be mean to you because they think you hate them. Who knows? The worst thing that could happen is they throw the gift at you. So get them something soft, a pillow maybe.

I am spending my time, not really with family, but with pseudo-family. I am spending Christmas with, you guessed it already? Darn it all I am way too obvious. Yes I am spending my Christmas with Kelli and her parents. As of right now Kelli is more family than anyone else I have. She is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. She is my partner. That is the third theme of Christmas: love. If you got any of that stuff up in you, let it out. Tell someone you love them, and mean it. Seriously, if it is someone you admire secretly and they do not know tell them for goodness sake. If you don't they may never know. What is worse them saying they don't feel that way about you, or you never knowing? Trust me it will rot your insides if you let it go. This goes for girls as well as guys. If you think he is too shy to approach you go after him. Let him know. People are also more likely to hook up around this time of year. They like the idea of love at christmas, just don't get carried away with it though.

So like I started, if it had not been for those danged "Wise Men" Christmas would be about love, family, and sheep. So this christmas have lamb chops, we always forget the shepherds.

Merry Christmas guys! I love you!!!
